Information from the Mount Horeb Police Department:
Around 1 a.m. Saturday morning, Mount Horeb Police arrested John E. Prochaska of Barneveld for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. This is Prochaska's 5th OWI offense.
Prochaska's driving privileges had already been revoked due to his 4th OWI offense. When officers stopped him on Saturday morning, preliminary breathalyzer tests indicated he was more than six times the legal limit. Prochaska is currently at the Dane County Jail.
It was the first night of a national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" crackdown on drunken driving. The campaign runs now through September 3.
