It's something you may not see every day, especially in Wisconsin; but at The House on the Rock, a waterfall is one of the main attractions.
From rooms filled with intricate dolls, to areas that test gravity. "It sways and it's supposed to sway but when it stops swaying that's the problem. It's built like an airplane wing which is meant to flex with the stress. If you hang 2,000 pounds on the infinity room it will only deflect," said Tom Kupsh, Creative Consultant.
The House on the Rock has called Wisconsin home for more than five decades, opening its doors to the public back in 1960. So what makes this attraction so special? Officials say there's nothing else like it. Kupsh adds, "there's no place like the House on the Rock."
People of all ages come each year to enjoy the masterpiece, finding something special around every corner. "My favorite part of The House on the Rock is when I see families and young people come and stand in front of our collections and have their pictures taken in front of their family and just enjoy themselves. That's the real pleasure here that all of us take in on The House on the Rock," said Kupsh.
And it's a boost for the local economy- being the number one attraction in the area. "Two things about the House on the Rock that everybody knows is that there's a house up on a rock and there's a carousel down below and the carousel is mind-blowing," adds Kupsh.
One of a kind views mixed in with an original experience, proving to showcase some of Wisconsin's true beauty.
