Woman Injured in Town of Beloit Shooting

On April 3, 2013 at 3:57 A.M. the Town of Beloit Police Department was notified of a shots fired incident in the 1900 block of S. Wisconsin Avenue. Officers from the Town of Beloit, the City of Beloit, and the Rock County Sheriff’s Department responded.

Preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 1900 block of S. Wisconsin Avenue was the apparent target of the shooting. The vehicle contained four occupants, all Janesville residents. One adult female suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her arm. She was treated and released at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

The suspect left the area northbound on S. Wisconsin Avenue in a dark blue sedan.

Officers are continuing to interview witnesses and process evidence recovered at the crime scene as well as from the vehicle.
