MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say a body recovered from the Milwaukee River on Thursday evening, March 28th has been positively identified as Nick Wilcox.
Wilcox was last seen outside the Irish Rec Room on Old World 3rd St. early Tuesday morning, January 1st. Wilcox was out celebrating on New Year’s Eve with friends, when he reportedly left the bar with a man in a red shirt.
Friends last saw Wilcox heading down an alley outside the bar between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- An autopsy is expected to determine the identity of a body pulled from the river in downtown Milwaukee not far from where a college student went missing on New Year's Day.
Milwaukee police say the body had been in the Milwaukee River for several months. Family and friends have posted flyers about the missing University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student in the downtown area and have searched for him. Twenty-four-year-old Nick Wilcox was last seen at a bar near where the body was found Thursday.
WTMJ radio reports autopsy results are expected later Friday.
