Information from the Janesville Police Dept.
On Friday officers from the Janesville Police Department were receiving a complaint of an intoxicated male subject at Riders Inn with a 7 year old child. Officers responded and did not locate him. A short time later officer’s were given information regarding an intoxicated driver matching the description of the subject who was at Riders Inn. As officers were checking for the vehicle they were sent to an injury accident at the intersection of N. Pine St and Linden Ave.
Officers Rick Mussey and Daniel Schoonover responded to the accident scene. They identified the adult driver as Casey J. Truman. The seven year old was in the vehicle with him. As they worked through their investigation Officers Mussey and Schoonover found that this was the same person from Riders Inn.
Casey Truman was put through a series of standardized field sobriety tests which indicated that he was intoxicated. He eventually submitted to an evidentiary chemical test of his breath. The reported value of alcohol in his system was .16g/210 liters. The seven year old suffered minor injuries and was released from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center to a responsible adult.
Casey Truman is currently being held at the Rock County Jail on a series of charges.
