UPDATE: Fire At Noah's Ark Waterpark

UPDATED Monday, October 29, 2012 --- 11:35 a.m.

Lake Delton Fire Department posted the following message on its Facebook page:

Delton Fire would like to thank the professional group of firefighters from Kilbourn Fire Department (Wisconsin Dells) for their quick response and hard work with this fire.

Delton Fire was also assisted by the Lake Delton Police Department, Alliant Energy, Salvation Army, and Blum Excavating. We are happy to report there were no injuries!


UPDATED Monday, October 29, 2012 --- 8:15 a.m.

LAKE DELTON, Wis. (AP) -- Firefighters have put out a fire at a popular Wisconsin Dells area waterpark.

Fire officials say a storage building at Noah's Ark caught fire about 2:30 a.m. Monday. The building was formerly used as a gift shop.

WISN-TV (http://tinyurl.com/8tcfb2x ) reports Lake Delton firefighters had the fire out by about 4 a.m.

Lake Delton firefighters remain on the scene of a fire at Noah's Ark Waterpark.

Firefighters say an outdoor water park structure in the shape of an ark caught fire.

They say no visitors were displaced because of the fire. The structure was being used for storage. In the past, it was used as a gift shop.

Firefighters say at one point the flames were 25 feet high. Now crews are managing hot spots.

The fire remains under investigation.
