As reported by Dane County Regional Airport PIO Brent McHenry, three people received only minor injuries when their small plane crashed at Dane County Airport. City of Madison Fire Department personnel responded at 8:35 am with airport fire.
Truax firefighters were first on the scene and extinguished the aircraft fire, along with debris. City of Madison Firefighters extinguished spot fires and transported two people to St. Mary’s Hospital for minor injuries.

Statement Regarding Incident at Dane County Regional Airport
At 8:35 a.m., there was an incident involving a TMB700 single engine plane while on departure on Runway 21.
There were three occupants on board the plane and airport officials are aware of only minor injuries.
Emergency crews are on location.
The airport was closed to aircraft operations for a short period and re-opened at 9:01 a.m.
The Federal Aviation Administration will send an investigation team to review the situation.

A small plane crashed at the Dane County Regional Airport this morning.
According to Brent McHenry, spokesman for the Dane County Regional Airport, the crash occurred during departure.
The small private plane deviated from the runway.
The plane is a Socata TBM 700 turboprop single-engine.
Three people were on board. We're told they had minor injuries.
Firefighters did put out two small fires; one on the aircraft and the other from debris.
The airport was closed due to protocol and will re-open soon.
