Posted: Saturday, September 29, 2012 --- 8:00p.m.

Bullying has reached epidemic levels across the United States. One organization in Middleton is teaching kids how to protect themselves.

Infinity Martial Arts is teaching kids a series of ways to stop bullying. It's happening more and more, and not just in the classroom. Kids are also turning to the web to bully others.

Instructor Mike Welch, says "we don't have to be stronger than the bully, we just need to outsmart the bully." He teaches kids to look the bully right in the eye and tell them to stop. If the bully turns physical, there are certain moves your child can do to get away from them. Then there's always the advice of just walking away.

Welch also teaches kids to be confident and assertive. Then they are less likely to become the target.
