It's an on-line bullying prevention program called Sprigeo. It's reaching the finger tips of many students one click at a time.

The software can be accessed at more than 500 schools across 21 states. In Wisconsin, McFarland, DeForest and Holmen school districts implemented the software last year. The Monroe School District subscribed to it just last month.

Students can log in anonymously and report bullying incidents. The reports go directly to the principal. School staff then work on tracking the incidents, and addressing them.

“We've given them(students) a safe way to do that through both the website and now iPhone and iPad applications, and they are using it,” said CEO and Founder of Sprigeo, Joe Bruzzese.

Research shows that over the past year since the software was installed, schools averaged one report per week, and about 80% of students are reporting bullying.

“I think its good for the kids to have a place to turn to,” said Kim Wohler, a DeForest mother of three.

She says just like every parent, her children have been bullied at one point in their lives.

“It breaks your heart, your kids hurt you hurt,” said Wohler.

The software is beginning to gain popularity, as more and more schools are now fighting back against bullying.

The website can be accessed at www.sprigeo.com.
