Burglar Steals Firearms From Beaver Dam Store

A burglar broke in and stole several firearms from a Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam early Saturday morning.

Around 2 a.m. Saturday morning the Beaver Dam Police Department responded to a commercial burglar alarm at the Fleet Farm at 1815 N. Spring St. in the City of Beaver Dam. Upon arriving, officer's located forced entry to the building through a window.

Further investigation shows a suspect entered the store and proceeded to the firearm section. The suspect shattered a portion of the firearm display case and took several firearms from the establishment. The exact make, model, and description of the firearms are not being released at this time.

The scene was processed by detectives with the Beaver Dam Police Department and the scene has been released back to Fleet Farm staff. The Beaver Dam Police Department was assisted by the Waupun Police Department K9 unit as well as the Dodge County Sheriff's Department.

    I went into Fleet Farm this morning to see which case it was.. It was the case on the far left of the counter where they normally keep AR's. I asked the man behind the counter how many were taken and he told me, "a few." He told me it was all AR's.
