Incident Type: Theft From Auto

Incident Date: 10/03/2012 - 7:56 AM

Address: 4000 block Major Ave.

Victim: Male, age 52, Madison

Details: An east side musician contacted the MPD last week to report that his Irish harp was taken from his car which he had left locked outside his Major Ave. home. The victim said the harp, his performing chair, and other accessories - all stolen - are worth $2,650.

    What a shame to lose such a valulable instrument. I do wonder why such a valuable item was left in the vehicle and not taken inside the home. Thieves will take anything of value if left visible.
