Burglary (Multiple Counts) & Criminal Damage (Multiple Counts)

Multiple Businesses

On 10/26/2012, at 7:13am, Madison Police Officers responded to the 10 block of Applegate Court reference multiple burglaries to several businesses, and this was called into The Dane County 911 Center by an office worker on scene. Officers arrived and observed several windows that had been broken on the ground floor. They also located a significant blood trail that seemed to be consistently in and around the building. Officers found internal offices that had also been entered and ransacked. This building had a second floor, and police ascended the stairwell to clear the building further.

Additional blood stained windows/doors were found broken, and when the officer did a check of the second floor, he located the suspect, Fontaine D. Dillard, underneath a desk hiding! Dillard had sustained a significant cut/injury to his hand, and he was ordered out at gun point. Dillard was partially clothed, as his genitalia was exposed. Officers did find a nearby desktop computer with several pornographic websites that were open, so it was not entirely clear as to the connection. In any event, Dillard was taken into custody, and connected to a variety of office equipment that was removed from the businesses before police arrived.
