Incident Type: Residential Burglary

Address: 300 block S. Orchard St.
Arrested: Eric S. Griffin, age 44, no permanent address
Mr. Griffin was arrested for a Parole Violation.
Victim: Male, age 21, Madison
Female, age 22, Madison
Details: The MPD was called to a burglary in progress in the 300 block of S. Orchard St. Saturday night. A 22-year old woman reported she heard banging at the front door, and then the sounds of someone trying to get into the residence.
The door was locked and the would-be intruder went to the backdoor, which was also locked. Police contacted a possible suspect walking in the area.
The convicted burglar said he had heard, while hanging out at a bar, that there was a party in the area, and that was his reason for going up to the door. He was arrested for a parole violation.
