UPDATE: Wednesday, July 9, 2014 --- 10:00 p.m.
There isn't much keeping Jessica Roberts and her 15-year-old old daughter Jaylin together.
"Whatever it is, we can fix it, just come home," Roberts pleaded in tears.
"It's not safe for you to be out in the world at 15 by yourself."
Jaylin ran off on Sunday, with nothing but backpack full of clothes.
A text conversation is the last thing her mom has to hold on it.
"Sunday about midnight I said 'okay, well... don't know where are you are, but good night, I love you'," Roberts explained.
First it was considered a runaway, but the Dane County Sheriff's Office now considered it a missing person case.
"Because Jaylin has been gone for several days and because her mother has not heard from her...we just need to know that she is safe," PIO Elise Schaffer said.
A detective with the Dane County Sheriff's Office is now leading the investigation to find Jaylin.
Schaffer also clarified that they still believe Jaylin ran away, and don't suspect any foul play as of yet.
For Jaylin's Mom, the wait goes on... using her cell phone as a gateway to hope.
"Facebook, text messages, email, phone calls... all the time," she said as he scrolls through her phone.
Waiting for that one call, that one text;maybe even that one door knock... to bring Jaylin home.
