At 4:30 PM on Sunday January 06, 2013 a crash occurred on US 18 EB/WB at IOWA-WISCONSIN STATE LINE in CRAWFORD County near PRAIRIE DU CHIEN.
Assisting agencies included Prairie du Chien PD, Prairie du Chien Fire Dept, Crawford County Sheriff, Iowa State Patrol , and Crawford County Hwy Dept.

The crash involved 1 fatality and 4 injuries. The driver of vehicle one was west bound on the USH 18 bridge crossing the Mississippi River and crossed the center line into the eastbound path of vehicle 2. The driver of vehicle one suffered fatal injuries. The driver of vehicle 2 suffered serious injuries and was medflighted to Gundersen
Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. A female passenger and two juveniles in vehicle 2 suffered minor injuries.
