Dane Co. deputies arrested a Deerfield man Monday night after he allegedly assaulted a woman at a bar and pulled a handgun on her.

Deputies were called to Kurt's Never Inn on North Main St. in Deerfield around 9:30 that night.

Witnesses said 35-year-old Pablo Lira assaulted a woman, then pulled a handgun from his coat and threatened her.

Lifa fled the bar before deputies arrived.

Authorities used a K9, and found Lira a short time later at the Rail House Bar.

Lira was booked into jail on charges of disorderly conduct while armed, 4th degree sexual assault and carrying a handgun in a class B establishment.

The handgun was found in a snowbank near Kurt's Never Inn the next day.
