Driver Arrested for OWI After Crash Hurts Passengers

From the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

Madison, WI. September 17, 2012 – Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Schumacher Road, just north of Easy Street in the town of Vienna, at approximately 3:20 am on Saturday, September 15th.

The driver, Cory C. Anderson, age 21 of Waunakee, was traveling north on Schumacher Road with three passengers, when he lost control and rolled his 2002 Jeep Liberty. Two of the passengers, Jared W. Markes, age 22 of Madison, and Andrew J. Anderson, age 21 of Verona, were transported by Waunakee EMS to UW Hospital. Andrew Anderson, who was the front seat passenger, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He received serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Cory Anderson was arrested for OWI-Causing Injury. He was also cited for operating left of center, failure to maintain control, and failure to stop at a stop sign. The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
