From the Green County Sheriff's Office:

At 8:12 PM (Saturday, July 28, 2012) Deputies along with Monroe Police and Fire Departments, Juda Fire Department, Green County EMS and Ambulances from Leamons, IL and Tri County District, IL responded to a three vehicle crash in the N1900 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Thelma P. Ranken 72, of Monroe was southbound on STH 69 waiting to turn into the Sky Vue Movie Theater, when a southbound vehicle operated by Bradley M. Ethridge 24, of Lena, IL rear-ended Ranken.

Ranken’s vehicle then spun into the northbound lane causing a northbound vehicle operated by Krystal K. Gille 28, of Monroe to strike Ranken.

Ranken and her passenger identified as; Crystal M. Meng 30, of Gratiot sustained injuries and were transported by EMS; seatbelts were used and the airbags did deploy. Ranken’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

Ethridge sustained injuries and was transported by EMS; his seatbelt was used and the airbags did deploy. Ethridge’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

Gille sustained injuries and was transported by EMS, her seatbelt was not used and airbags did not deploy. Gille’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

Ethridge was cited for Inattentive Driving and released pending court.
