Driver Arrested For OWI; His 4th Offense

Posted Tuesday, February 7, 2012 --- 6:00 a.m.

From the Dane County Sheriff's Department:
Madison, WI. February 7, 2012 –

At approximately 12:37 a.m., a Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputy observed a vehicle travelling on the eastbound USH 12 off ramp to USH 51, in the Town of Blooming Grove. A traffic stop was made on the vehicle because it had suspended registration.

The driver of the vehicle, Berry B. Banks, age 50 of Madison, was arrested for OWI 4th offense. Banks had four children passengers, ages 3, 7, 10, and 12. All four children were released to their parents.

Banks was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony OWI charge. He is also being cited for Suspended Registration, OAR, License Restriction Violation, and for a Child Safety Restraint Violation.

    WHY IN GOD;S NAME DO THEY ALLOW , PEOPLE WITH EVEN TWO OWI, TO DRIVE.... THEY WILL JUST NEVER LEARN.. CASE IN POINT... YES , IF THEY'RE OUT THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO DRIVE DRUNK.... THEY NEED TO ATTENT A LONG COURSE DEALING WITH THEIR PROBL AT HAND... 6 MONTHS OF LONG DRY OUT PERIOD.... NEVER TO DRIVE AGAIN.... IT WAS THERI CHOOSE TO DRINK AND DRIVE... AMEN!!!!!!!!!
