From the Richland County Sheriff's Department:
A Lone Rock man and woman originally from Thailand were booked into the Richland County Jail as a result of an ongoing drug investigation and the execution of a search warrant.
Frank L. Bart II, 21 and Pimchanok Khyokham, 20, both residing at 137 East Commercial Street, Apartment F are awaiting bail hearings today on various drug charges stemming from undercover drug buys and the search of their residence at 7pm Wednesday night (October 24).
Bart is charged with felony counts of maintaining a drug trafficking place; possession of Cocaine, two counts of delivery of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Khyokham is charged with felony counts of maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According the Richland County Sheriff Darrell Berglin the ongoing investigation began with a tip that led to undercover drug buys and then local authorities obtaining a search warrant.
The Sheriff said that officers of the Richland Center Police Department and Richland County Sheriff assigned to work drug cases made two initial undercover buys with Bart. At this point the local investigators received assistance from the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force and the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation to make a third buy and execute the search warrant.
Sheriff Berglin said that local law enforcement authorities continue to investigate the case including the immigration status of Khyokham who authorities believe came to the United States from Thailand about 3 years ago. The sheriff reported that ICE the United State Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities have been notified of Khyokham's arrest and a customs' hold has been placed on her.
