MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Incumbent state superintendent Tony Evers has a huge cash advantage over his challenger, Republican state Rep. Don Pridemore.

Reports filed with the state on Monday show Evers had just over $100,000 cash on hand as of Feb. 4 compared with about $33,500 for Pridemore.

Evers is running for a second term in the nonpartisan position. The election is April 2.

Evers reports raising $48,500 in the first five weeks of the year. Over the same period, Pridemore raised $2,400.

The three state Supreme Court candidates must also file reports showing how much they have raised and spent through Feb. 4.

One of the three will be eliminated in the Feb. 19 primary. Those running are incumbent Justice Pat Roggensack, Milwaukee attorney Vince Megna and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone.
