MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A former Milwaukee County official has been charged with accepting bribes.
Dennis Dietscher, of Hales Corners, faces six felony counts related to funneling more than $10 million in restoration work to the same contractor for repairs to county property.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Dietscher played a key role in coordinating millions of dollars in repairs to the Milwaukee County courthouse after a fire last year, but the charges filed Monday are not related to that work.
The complaint says Dietscher, who was the county's risk manager, funneled work to Belfor USA. In return, Belfor allegedly made sure Diestcher got work done on his own house, fishing and hunting trips, expensive dinners, tools and other kickbacks.
A person at Dietscher's home told WITI-TV he had no comment on the charges.
