Arrested: Andre J. Flores, age 29, Madison

Victim: Male, age 18, Madison
Details: An apologetic suspect said he just "lost it" after his cousin rammed him in an E. Washington Ave. driveway Sunday afternoon. The two men have been quarreling, and the suspect was trying to drive out as his cousin backed in. He says his cousin gunned it in reverse and the kinetic energy created by the two cars colliding sent him back a couple of feet. Following the impact, the suspect says his cousin sped away.
In a fit of anger, decided to pursue. The chase culminated at the intersection of N. Sixth St. and E. Johnson St. That is where the suspect rammed his cousin's car from behind. In the process he sideswiped a parked car before going up and over a curb and striking a tree. The cousins drove away as shocked witnesses called for police, providing license plate numbers and vehicle descriptions. The suspect was located at the E. Washington Ave. address. His car had suffered serious front-end damage.
He also had a 3-year old child on board during the road-rage. The boy was checked out by Madison Fire Department paramedics for minor injuries. The suspect was arrested on tentative charges listed above. Of his actions, he told an officer, “I know I shouldn’t have, but I couldn’t help it.” His cousin was not immediately found. He may also be cited or tentatively charged.
