Fatal crash near town of Baraboo believed to involve alcohol

A crash killed one person in the town of Baraboo and alcohol is believed to be a factor, according to the Sauk County Sheriff's Department.

Sauk County deputies were dispatched to reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Lehman Road west of Highway 12 around 12:35 a.m., according to a release.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found a vehicle on its roof with the driver pinned inside, officials said. They believe the driver was the only occupant.

According to the release, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not wearing his seat belt.

Officials have not yet released the driver’s name.
