EDGAR, Wis. (AP) -- Marathon County sheriff's officials say fire has caused more than $1 million in damage to county vehicles.

A motorist reported smoke coming out of one of the county highway department's storage garages near Edgar early Friday.

Damage is initially estimated at about $1.5 million, but the sheriff's office says that estimate is likely to change.
