UPDATE: Fitchburg Police say missing man found safe

UPDATED Monday, July 7, 2014 --- 11:03 a.m.

Fitchburg Police say Robert H. Lucas, who was reported missing Sunday, has been found safe.

Officers say no foul play is suspected in the case.

Lucas is reuniting with family. He is being checked out at a hospital as a precaution, but again, police say he is safe.

The Fitchburg Police department is asking for the public's help and assistance in finding Robert H. Lucas.

Lucas was last seen approximately 12:30 p.m on his bicycle near the intersection of Byrne Road and Syene Road in the City of Fitchburg. Robert was expected to be home around 1:00 p.m.

He is approximately 5'9" tall, 175 lbs with brown hair. Robert was last seen wearing a white biking shirt with red sleeves, black biking shorts, black shoes, and a white/grey bicycle helmet.

He was riding a blue and black "Orbea" bicycle.

Anyone with information regarding Robert is asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department.
