MADISON, Wis. --- A former Jefferson County Detective Sergeant has been found guilty of Misconduct in Public Office.
Timothy Madson supervised the Jefferson County Drug Task Force from 2003-2011. During that time he wrote more than $20,000 in checks to himself from the Task Force undercover buy fund. He then hid his actions by reporting hundreds of fake expenses, according to the state Attorney General's office. A jury found Madson guilty of misconduct.
No sentencing date has been set yet.
