Four stolen vehicles, two police chases, one suspect

Monday August 11, 2014

Several stolen vehicles and two police chases are being blamed on one person, a person that has not been caught yet.

Saturday night the Dodge County Sheriff's Office helped the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office with a pursuit. This was on Highway 175 going south. The vehicle being chased was reported stolen from Berlin, WI. The chase ended when the driver of the stolen vehicle crashed in the area of CTH Y and CTH YY. The driver ran off into a corn field and got away.

A few hours later, early Sunday morning, there was another chase. Once again the Dodge County Sheriff's Office helped the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office. The chase ended when the driver of the a stolen vehicle crashed in the Town of Trenton. The driver ran off into a corn field and got away. While looking into that crash, a third vehicle was reported stolen.

Sunday evening there was another report of a stolen vehicle. The person who called police also said that someone had broken into their home and stolen a gun and ammunition.

Dodge County investigators believe one person is responsible for all these crimes. Evidence from the home break-in has lead to a person of interest being investigated.
