The weather is only helping Friday at the Green County Fair. Organizers say this is the biggest turnout they've seen in 20 years! And there's plenty to enjoy; from rides for all you thrill seekers, to live entertainment and games.
This year marks the 160th anniversary for the Green County Fair, bringing in the crowds to Monroe, for a weekend full of fun. Showing off its beauty along with surrounding communities. "I grew up here. this is my home county. And I've always been a part of the beef show so the beef show is a highlight of mine, watching the kids show their beef cattle," said Bryan Witt, President of the Green County Fair Association.
The fairest of the fair even enjoying a little bit of friendly competition. "I'm not showing my own animals which I used to do all of the time so I get to sit down and watch the show for 10 minutes instead of always being involved." said Alicia Gordee.
And lets not forget about those cheese curds, the secret recipe making them of so good! Bryan added, "they're to die for! Everybody comes for the famous Green County cheese curds!" Showcasing a little bit of everything that makes Wisconsin so unique.
