At 11:17 PM (Saturday, December 24, 2011) Deputies along with New Glarus Police, Belleville Police, Fire and EMS responded to a one vehicle crash in the W4800 block of CTH W, Town of Exeter.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Rebecca J. Johnson 24, of Belleville was eastbound on CTH W when she entered the south shoulder. Johnson overcorrected and entered the north outside shoulder and overturned, and the vehicle came to a rest on its wheels facing westbound.
Johnson sustained injuries and was transported by EMS to UW Hospital; her seatbelt was used and the airbag did not deploy.
The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed from the scene.
Johnson was arrested for Felony - Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, 4th offense within 5 years and Bail Jumping.
Johnson was cited for Too Fast for Conditions, Violation of Driver’s License Restrictions – Ignition Interlock Device Requirement and Operating after Revocation.
Johnson was jailed pending court.
