Madison Police say a traveling sales team had a gun pulled on them Wednesday night.
A salesman, who has a permit to peddle clothing from the back of his van, was displaying his wares in the 200 block of Kennedy Heights when it happened.
Shortly before 8:30, the salesman and an associate pulled over after a group of young men called out “Let's see what you got!”
The victim opened the van's side door and the shoppers started to take a look. One grabbed a $75 belt, which led to a tug-of-war between the young man and the sales associate.
The associate eventually got the belt back, and his boss told the would-be buyer not to mess with him. At this point another young man pulled a handgun out and pointed it at the sales team.
The victims called police, but the shoppers had left in a vehicle before officers arrived.
