It's a story that's hit home with so many around the world that's left many in our area still in disbelief.
Local residents are offering their thoughts, prayers and best wishes to the young girl stabbed repeatedly by her friends in Waukesha a few months ago.
Stop into any Metcalfe's Market through August 29 and you'll notice a sea of purple: from purple signs to purple flowers to purple hearts.
Money is being raised to help the young stabbing victim on her road to recovery. Donate any amount of money you want and you'll be given a purple paper heart to write a special message to the young girl.
Then on August 29, a miniature version of the annual Brat Fest will be held at the Metcalfe's at the Madison West Towne location with all proceeds to help the victim and her family.
"The mom and dad is going to be at the brat fest and they're going to get to see and read everybody's little comment” says Tim Metcalfe, Metcalfe's Market President.
