Monona Community Festival is bringing in the crowds for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Whether you're getting a new look for the day. We asked a child getting his face painted, "do you know what a tiger sounds like?" He replied, "rahhhhh!!!" Or enjoying one of Monona's staples- Falbo Pizza! Pizza maker should us, "we have thin crust today; pepperoni, sausage, and our famous Arizona ranch which is chicken, bacon and our secret ranch sauce."
Monona Community Festival has a little bit of everything, and the best part about it- all the proceeds raised each year go back into the community. Festival President Jim Bisbee said, "the money funnels back into the good causes into the city and areas like that."
Thousands of dollars donated to the library and fire department to name a few. And what better way to enjoy the nation's independence than with a cold drink, some great, live entertainment, along with fun for the whole family.
Bisbee added, "I love to see the kids. The smiles on those kids faces is very, very neat." Festival runs until midnight on Friday. Fireworks show begins at 9:25 p.m.
