A man is injured after holding his wife hostage in Iowa County.
Saturday afternoon, law enforcement agencies responded to Highway Q & QQ near Mineral Point.
The situation apparently started as as domestic dispute.
The sheriff's department says the man was holding his wife at gunpoint.
Law enforcement set up a perimeter around the home.
There were three people inside the home at the time and they later all walked out of the house. That's when there was a gunshot fired, the man shot himself.
He was taken by med flight to a hospital in Madison. No word on his condition.
