In Wis., No Big Deal to Have a Gun Show at School

Posted Thursday, January 10, 2013 --- 1:23 p.m.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Gun culture runs so deep in Wisconsin that when a gun show is held in a school or church, almost no one bats an eye.

Gun shows are drawing increased scrutiny after the school shooting in Connecticut last year. But in Wisconsin it's business as usual.

One such show is coming up at a high school in Cornell, a small city in northwestern Wisconsin. School and town officials say they're not concerned because the show takes place Saturday and Sunday when the school is not in session. And they've received virtually no complaints.

However, one local resident is upset. David Hugh questions why the show can't be held during the summer, or at another venue. He says he didn't complain because it wouldn't make a difference.
