Fatal Injury at Fort Atkinson Plant
Spacesaver, a division of KI, Green Bay, Wis., employs about 425 at its manufacturing facility in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
At approximately 9:00pm on Wednesday, August 1st, Jack Graves, 51, was fatally injured when a load of steel panels fell on him while he was transporting the material using a hand truck.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack’s family and with Jack’s team members at Spacesaver. Jack worked at Spacesaver for over 4 years as a production team member. He was very well-respected and a valued member of our team; he will be greatly missed.” said Paul Olsen, President of Spacesaver.
Plant operations will be shut down on Thursday while an investigation is underway. Counselors will be onsite to help team members through this difficult time.

Release from Fort Atkinson Police Department:
On Wednesday, August 1, at 8:58p.m. the Fort Atkinson Police Department Dispatch Center received an ambulance request from an employee of the Spacesaver Corporation located at 1700 Janesville Avenue in the city of Fort Atkinson for an industrial accident involving materials falling on a victim.
Ryan Brother's Ambulance service, Fort Atkinson Fire Rescue and Fort Atkinson Police Department officers responded. The Jefferson County Coroner was then requested by the emergency responders at the scene.
The victim was identified as Jack Graves of Janesville.
