Monona --- You can call it spring cleaning literally. But it's not for everybody.
"We'll probably see 20 children today, this is our sole mission and purpose today is seeing these kids," said Dr. Rudy Knutson, with Complete Family Dentistry.
It's the third year he is hosting, "Kids Deserve to Smile," day at his Monona clinic, where kids in need can get free dental work.
"None of our staff are getting paid today. It's their gift," said Dr. Rudy.
19-year old, Quintariuse Britton, is just getting a cleaning. But that's not the case for everyone.
"On some we've done sealant's, fillings, extractions, cleanings, the whole thing," said Dr. Rudy. "A child with dental problems is going to have lower self-esteem, a child with dental problems is going to be unable to focus. How can you do homework when you're hurting?"
For the staff of 12, it's a day they cherish, and for Dr. Rudy, seeing a smile on a kids face is enough for him.
"A boy this morning said I always wanted shiny teeth, thank you, and that's a self-esteem thing," said Dr. Rudy.
