Janesville -- Ashli Stacy was sitting outside of her home on the 3400 block of Tennyson Drive, when she noticed a large cat.
The pictures are fuzzy, but she says it was a cougar. Stacy says, she originally thought it was a deer, but quickly realized it wasn't.
The large cat was about 300 yards from her home and says, it was moving very slowly.
That's when her husband grabbed a camera and took video, and captured the cat in action.
"It was not a household kitty cat, that's for sure. You wouldn't be able to see it that far away," said Stacy.
Police were called and checked for paw prints but didn't find anything. The DNR was also notified. They say it very well could have been a cougar.
They're not ruling out the possibility, in fact just last week there was another report of a sighting near Monroe in Green County.
The DNR says, cougars typically travel from the Dakotas. Either way, they say avoid the animal at all cost, and never approach it.
