Mr. Jones was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence - 4th offense, Reckless Driving - Endangering Safety, and Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (marijuana)
Details: A 36-year old Madison man was arrested for the 4th offense of driving under the influence after Sunday night after a police officer saw the car he was driving hop a curb, and speed out of the parking lot of a E. Washington Ave. bar. The officer had been called to the High Noon Saloon around 6:50 p.m. after the impaired man refused to pay a cover charge. An employee did not believe the man should be driving.
The suspect could not be immediately located, but returned to the bar around 8:20 p.m. At that time, employees said he offered to pay for a drink with a marijuana cigarette and proceeded to consume another patron's glass of beer. Officers found the car he was driving to have damage that appeared fresh. There was also a facsimile handgun in the passenger compartment. The suspect was arrested on tentative charges listed above.
