Incident Type: Weapons Violation
Incident Date: 03/04/2013 - 9:51 PM
Address: 900 block Emerald St
Suspect: black male, 25-30 yrs old, dark complexion, 5'09"-5'10", thin build, 1” afro, goatee, wearing dark hoody, dark jeans
Victim: 27 yr old male, Madison resident, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, non-life-threatening
Details: Victim stated he was standing outside his vehicle when the suspect approached from behind, grabbed him and demanded all his “stuff”. Victim observed the suspect had a black handgun pointed at him, so he pushed away from the suspect. Victim stated he heard the gun go off and that the suspect then fled on foot. Victim realized he was struck in the leg and was then driven to a local hospital for treatment. Investigation continuing.
