Details
A 33-year old Flower Lane resident was shot twice - once in the back and once in the elbow - as he struggled to gain control of an intruder's handgun Monday night. The victim said he responded to a knock at his door around 9:45 p.m. and was confronted by two men both of whom were using bandanas to conceal their faces. One had the weapon. The victim said he immediately grabbed for the gun and ended up wrestling on the floor with the armed man. He believes the weapon discharged twice while they were grappling. Following the shots, he says the men fled. The victim also reported an attempted burglary to his apartment in May. In that case, he said he confronted 4 or 5 teens or young men after they kicked in his door shortly after 1:00 a.m. on May 16th. He said they fled when he grabbed a baseball bat.
