UPDATE: Madison Police Investigating Possible Sexual Assault; Sketch Released

Police have released a sketch in this case (to the right).

The sketch represents what the man with the gun may look like.

Suspect(s):
Male, white, 20-35 years old, 5'8", medium build, bald, wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Male, white, 20-35 years old, 6'2" to 6'3", wearing a black and green baseball style hat, dark jacket and jeans.

Male, white, 5'10", medium build, wearing baseball cap that has work "Atlanta" written on it, dark jacket and jeans.

Victim:
Female, age 21, Madison
Victim is not a UW-Madison student.

Details:
Saturday afternoon, a 21-year old woman reported to the MPD that she had been assaulted earlier that morning while walking in an alleyway that is behind the 1800 block of Monroe St.

She said three men, one of whom was in possession of a handgun, pushed her to the ground.

She says she hit her head and lost consciousness, and believes she may have been sexually assaulted.

The woman said she was walking home after socializing with friends in the State St. area, and believes the assault took place between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Detectives from the South Police District are currently meeting with victim to obtain more details.

If anyone observed suspicious individuals near the1800 block of Monroe Street between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning, please call the South Police District at 266-5938.
