UPDATE: Sex Offender Who Left Halfway House is Back in Custody

Madison Police say John M. Curry is back in custody. Officers are not releasing any other details at this time.

Suspect(s): John M. Curry, age 42, Madison
Details: The MPD received information that a wanted subject may have been in the area of the 1000 block of E. Dayton St. this morning. Mr. John M. Curry, age 42, is a registered sex offender, and he is supposed to be staying at a halfway house on Odana Rd.
The State Department of Corrections indicates Mr. Curry absconded from that facility Thursday night, and has removed his GPS bracelet. Anyone with information on Mr. Curry should contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
