UPDATE: Madison Police search for possible witness in downtown sexual assault

UPDATED Wednesday, December 11, 2013 --- 10:46 a.m.

Madison Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a possible witness of a sexual assault.

The assault happened around 1:45 the morning of November 3rd in the 300 block of E. Wilson Street. More details of the crime are posted below.

UPDATED Wednesday, November 6, 2013 --- 2:53 p.m.

Madison Police are releasing a sketch and more information as they investigate a sexual assault.

The assault happened Nov. 3 around 1:45 a.m. in the 300 block of E. Wilson St.

The victim says the attack took place in a secluded parking lot. She says the man convinced her to go into the lot as she was looking for a friend's car.

During the crime, she believes she may have injured the attacker.

The victim was also injured, and treated at the hospital.

Along with the initial description (listed below), the victim believes the man is mixed race, and may have been wearing rimless glasses.

Police are investigating a sexual assault that happened early Sunday morning in downtown Madison.

A 22-year-old woman tells police she was sexually assaulted outside in the 300 block of E. Wilson Street. It happened around 1:45 that morning.

She said she met a man while out socializing in the downtown area. They went to a bar together, and she says he later attacked and assaulted her.

Madison Police describe the attacker as: Male, tan complexion, mid-20's, chunky build, very short hair - nearly shaved head, facial stubble, wearing a dark colored pullover with some type of orange design on it.
