UPDATE: Madison Police release new images in car arson investigation

UPDATED Wednesday, June 26, 2013 --- 11:41 a.m.

Madison Police have released new images in a car arson investigation.

The fire happened June 9th in the 2600 block of McDivitt Rd.

The images come from a nearby business' video surveillance camera. They show a man approaching the Dodge Charger with a container of gasoline. He intentionally set fire to the car.

The evidence shows that the suspect may have been injured during an explosion and the fire. Police are looking for any information about anyone who may have been treated for burns at local facilities Sunday June 9th or Monday June 10.

Madison Police and firefighters are asking for the public's help after a car fire.

The fire happened early Sunday, June 9th. Firefighters were called to the 2600 block of McDivitt Rd. at 12:46 a.m.

They found a 2013 Dodge Charger engulfed in flames.

The blue car, with temporary Illinois plates, was last registered to a 23-year-old Chicago woman.

Anyone with information on the car or fire should call Madison Police or the Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
