A Madison man is arrested after trying to start a fight with bouncers at a bar, then speeding off.
Police were called to the Madhatter Bar on W. Gorham St. at bar time early Wednesday morning. Staff say 28-year-old Leovardo Ramirez-Arismendi was belligerent and they tried to kick him out.
By the time police arrived, Ramirez-Arismendi was already in his car, and he sped away down S. Park St. at an estimated 70 mph.
Police say he proceeded to run red lights, and drive without his headlights on.
Police started to chase him, but stopped because it was too dangerous.
Ramirez-Arismendi came back to the Madhatter the next night.
Staff called police, and they arrested him for Eluding, and cited for Operating without Required Lamp Lighted, Violate Red Traffic Signal and Operate without Valid License.
