Arrested: Mark J. Stein, age 48, Rockford, IL
Mr. Stein was arrested for Theft.
Victim: Male, age 21, Madison
Details: Security staff at Madison College, 1701 Wright St., called for the MPD Thursday afternoon after a man suspected of an earlier theft returned to campus.
He was captured on video stealing a 21-year old student’s laptop computer and textbooks on February 28th. They had been left in an unsecured locker.
The Rockford man provided several false statements to the arresting officer, but eventually acknowledged the stolen computer was inside his home. He was arrested for theft.
