Arrested: Ventura Ojeda, age 32, Milwaukee
Mr. Ojeda was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Hit & Run to Unattended Vehicle and Operating Without a License.
Details: Initially the Milwaukee driver said he did not speak English, but as arresting officers discussed calling in a Spanish speaking officer to translate, the suspect changed his mind and said he could speak English just fine.
He had been pulled over on John Nolen Dr. early Sunday morning after two legally parked vehicles had been struck by a hit-and-run driver in the 800 block of Williamson St. The suspect's car was heavily damaged and he admitted to striking the parked vehicles. He was arrested on several tentative charges including drunken driving and hit-and-run.
