Man Tries to Steal $1,450 Worth of Merchandise from Kohl's

Address: 2602 East Springs Dr. (Kohls)

Arrested: John T. Wills, age 36, Platteville, WI
Mr. Wills was arrested for Retail Theft.

Details: A loss prevention officer stopped at Platteville man outside of Kohls, 2602 East Springs Dr., Friday afternoon after the suspect pushed a shopping cart with around $1,450 worth of shoplifted merchandise out of the store. The security officer told a police officer he watched as the suspect selected items and then removed anti-theft devices before putting clothing and fragrances into his cart. The apologetic suspect stated, " I did something dumb."

    Certainly dumb, considering there are many perfectly legal ways to sponge off society.
