The Dane County medical examiner has released the identity of the man who was killed after being hit by a tow truck Friday afternoon as 47-year-old Stephen L. Rader of Madison, WI.

A 47 year-old Madison man died shortly after being taken to the hospital. The 47 year-old was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a tow truck on Mineral Point Road at Yellowstone. The driver of the tow truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No arrests or charges have been made.

An NBC 15 crew is on the scene of a serious accident. Madison Police say at 3:48 p.m., dispatch received a call to respond to Mineral Point Road at Yellowstone.
Police say a man on a bicycle was hit by a tow truck.
The man has been severely injured, and his injuries appear to be life-threatening.
He has been taken to a local hospital. The driver of the tow truck remained on the scene.
